After 20+ years in professional sales and building multiple businesses, I discovered what actually works for contractors who want to stop chasing leads and start attracting them: systems that convert strangers into paying customers.
The Contractor Marketing Engine is not theory. It is battle-tested across hundreds of trades and thousands of jobs. Every component, from the missed-call recovery to the revenue tracking, exists because contractors like you needed it to work.
My promise is simple: If you are ready to stop gambling on leads and start predicting your growth, this system will get you there.
I won't sell smoke. If I can't move the needle, I'll tell you. First, we look at where you are losing leads today. Then, we plug the holes with one simple system.
Paul Meyers is the founder and CEO of PM Consulting Inc., a digital marketing company based at 559 Galt Street, North Bay, Ontario, P1B 5M6. Born and raised in Hamilton until age 8, Paul's family moved to North Bay where they started three successful businesses in a local mall. Paul spent over 20 years in the automobile industry, progressing from salesperson to sales manager to general manager, mastering the art of selling, managing relationships, and building trust-based connections. In 2018, he joined Clark Communications and simultaneously founded his own digital marketing agency. He built the 5-Pillar Zero Lead Loss System specifically for contractors and home service businesses because he saw the same problems in every trade: missed calls, dormant databases, stale reviews, slow follow-up, and websites that do not convert. Paul is a proud member of BNI North Bay Nipissing Chapter and the North Bay and District Chamber of Commerce. Contact Paul at paul@pmconsulting.ca or (705) 491-2627.
Every job, every failure, and every lesson pointed toward this work. Here is the short version.
Born and raised in Hamilton, Ontario until age 8. Family moved to North Bay, where they started three successful businesses in a local mall. Grew up watching entrepreneurship from the inside: the wins, the work, and the lessons you only learn by doing.
Spent over two decades in automotive sales. Started as a salesperson, rose to sales manager, then general manager. Mastered the art of selling, managing customer relationships, and building trust-based connections. Learned that the sale is made in the follow-up, not the pitch.
Joined Clark Communications and simultaneously founded his own digital marketing agency. Learned GoHighLevel, built websites, ran campaigns, and developed the systems that would become the foundation of the Contractor Marketing Engine.
Proud member of BNI North Bay Nipissing Chapter and the North Bay and District Chamber of Commerce. Built a referral network and deep relationships across the local business community. Relationships over transactions, always.
Launched PM Consulting Inc. with one mission: help contractors stop losing leads. Built the 5-Pillar Zero Lead Loss System. Leveraged 20+ years of sales mastery and digital marketing expertise to create customized solutions that help contractors increase online visibility, attract more customers, and grow their revenue.
These are not corporate values on a poster. These are principles I live by every day, and they shape every system I build for my clients.
Contractors want the needle to move. They want sales, not marketing jargon. I deliver measurable outcomes, not pretty reports that mean nothing. If I cannot move the needle, I will tell you.
I have been a BNI member for 7 years. I build relationships that last. My best clients become friends. Treat everyone with respect and go above and beyond. That is how business should work.
Do what you say, when you say. No excuses. The digital marketing industry is full of agencies that overpromise and underdeliver. I would rather lose a deal than sell someone something they do not need.
Married to Julie for 40 years. Three daughters. One granddaughter. My family is the reason I do this work. Every contractor I help is building something for their family too, and I never forget that.
Answer your phone. Call back in 5 minutes. Follow up until they tell you to stop. The contractors who win are not always the best at their trade. They are the ones who respond first and follow through consistently.
Nobody cares about the technology behind the system. They care about the results. More booked jobs. More repeat customers. More 5-star reviews. More time with their family. That is what I sell, because that is what matters.
I live in North Bay, Ontario with my wife Julie. We have been married for 40 years and together even longer. Julie is the reason I pick up the phone at 4am and the reason I shut the computer at 4pm. She keeps me grounded, keeps me honest, and keeps me laughing.
We have three daughters. One works in influencer marketing, making significant money in a field most people do not understand. The other two are Ontario Provincial Police officers. One is a detective in the human trafficking unit. The other is a beat cop. I could not be prouder of all three of them. And then there is my granddaughter, who is the single greatest source of joy in my life.
My daily routine is simple. I wake up between 4 and 5am, make coffee, and get to work. I wake Julie at 6, get her coffee, sometimes drive her to work. I work until 4pm sharp, pick up Julie, and we have our evening together. After dinner, I am usually back on the computer until bed. I love what I do. This is not a grind for me. Work is my life, and I am at peace with that.
When summer comes, you will find me on the boat on Lake Nipissing. That is my reset. That is where I recharge. But even on the boat, I am probably thinking about how to help the next contractor stop losing leads.
Contractors are good people. Family men and women grinding every day for their families and their employees. They get up before dawn, work in the heat and the cold, build incredible things with their hands, and go home exhausted. They deserve someone in their corner who actually understands what they go through.
I have watched dozens of marketing agencies sell smoke to contractors. Fancy proposals, impressive slide decks, buzzwords about "brand positioning" and "market penetration." Three months later, the contractor has spent $5,000 and cannot point to a single new job that came from it. That makes me angry, because these are real people spending real money they worked hard to earn.
The problems contractors face are not complicated. They are predictable. Every trade deals with the same five leaks. Every contractor who fixes those leaks sees results. The Zero Lead Loss System exists because I got tired of watching good people get ripped off by an industry that should be helping them.
I serve contractors across Canada and the United States. Plumbers, HVAC contractors, electricians, roofers, general contractors, painters, landscapers, kitchen and bath renovators, flooring companies, fencing contractors, and every other trade that relies on leads to book jobs.
